The tools available to them were designed for institutional desks or global equity traders — not for a retail trader managing weekly Nifty option positions from a phone.
Why we built this
Retail F&O in India is a specific context: weekly expiries, high leverage, low transaction costs that make overtrading easy, and a market structure that rewards discipline disproportionately. Generic trading software addresses none of this.
The existing tools were either global journal templates with no understanding of NSE/BSE structure, expensive institutional analytics priced out of reach, or AI tools that generated forward-looking “insights” that blurred the line with investment advice.
We wanted a tool that would do one thing precisely: take a trader's own historical data, find the repeatable behavioural patterns in it, and surface them clearly — without crossing the line into telling anyone what to do next.

What we believe
Behaviour, not setups
Most retail traders have decent setups. What kills them is what happens between the ears — revenge entries after a loss, over-sizing on 'conviction' trades, moving stops when a position goes against them. The data is in the journal. The problem is no one reads it analytically.
Patterns need data, not hindsight
You already know you revenge-trade sometimes. What you don't know is exactly when, at what frequency, and at what cost. TradeDNA turns vague self-awareness into precise, quantified patterns — the kind you can actually act on.
Analytics is not advice
TradeDNA never tells you what to trade next. Every analysis looks backward at trades you've already made. We deliberately built no forward-looking features, because a behavioural analytics tool that starts making recommendations stops being a mirror and starts being a crutch.
